Right now, I’ve just installed XP from scratch again and have installed nothing except the latest drivers via the MSI online updater thing I removed the other sound card and wireless receiver and left the machine as I got it. Or 1GB in each slot max. So I gave up on that option. The drivers weren’t recognising the mainboard and wouldn’t install, neither would the NVidia drivers.

The entire k9vg-v, the computer has never asked for any audio drivers or tried telling me that I have an audio card that’s not installed. I am now set up and everything is working fine. Is that 2Gb per slot?
Best thing about this new service is that nsi are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US. I have installed all of these, including the Realtek HD audio drivers. The slow boot-up may be caused by too much ram because XP may be trying to reference areas of the RAM the board cannot see. Not finding what you are looking for?

The installation goes fine audlo it asks me to reboot- but when I do, there’s still no audio device detected whatsoever.

The USB card speed isn’t enough fast. The card speed only so fast as USB 2.
I’ve already installed that. To be fair, that’s the lesser of my worries at the moment. Hope it will help you. Oh and Windows is taking wudio too long to boot up, probably about seconds on the black splash screen. There’s no audio drivers listed in the driver section for this board either. You find a Realtek driver here: The good news is you probably wont need the case speaker, other than to troubleshoot odd startup issues.

I think your long boot up time and problematic installation might have to k9vg-v with Windows not understanding your system. Click “Add” to insert your video.
