A3D was at least available in the card’s demo, but still not in B I’ve been seeing some strange issues that appear to be related to this driver. The Windows driver verifier reported that this driver is attempting to free memory it has already released, which is causing problems for the kernel memory allocator. Thank you VERY much! Somehow I found your page, and I have a Vortex 2 card, so I snagged the file, 5268.0 I don’t know what file I should run under Vista to install these drivers. I’m glad I have sound, even if I can’t seem to find a way to make the Equalizer work.
I am at work, s2500 I can not currently look at what I saved. The card should work allongside with an Audigy Thank you so much for this!

I don’t have the source code for the drivers, and it would take months to reverse engineer. This work fine with this modified driver. You now have basic sound support in bit Vista. Sorry, my English is poor. The card doesn’t appear in the device manager at all.
I can hardly believe they’d rip out the built in drivers for such a popular audio chip. Board index All times are UTC. On Windows 7 x86 it works too!
There is a website somewhere on the net, which attempted to modify Aurel drivers for XP to work with hardware acceleration.
Aureal Vortex2 SQ (AU) Driver Sound driver download
I installed this driver in Vista SP1 32 bit. Log in No account? I like its compact size and shape compare to MX, too sad thare was no Montego II for sale in my country. You should maybe submit the fix to Softpedia, Major Geeks, BetaNews and other such sites so it is easy to find during google searches and the like. That way it might be really easy to find it via search engines.
I suppose the 5. I have to say thank you. Is there any difference between the AU based cards? Specifically, the Windows paged pool on my system seems to be growing slowly over the course of several days from about MB up to 1.

Vista supports using XP sound au88830. Sadly, Aureal went bankrupt in and was later bought by Creative, so Aureal chipsets have had pretty poor support since XP — the stock Vortex2 driver included in Windows XP was a bare bones implementation at best. It’s still totally awesome that you did this. Please feel free to email me if that would be easier.
I haven’t tested this as of yet, but I will surely do so when I find my MX
